Dear Friend,

It is with a grateful heart I’m blessed to serve the people of All Saints.  The words of the apostle Paul to the people at the church at Corinth sum up well my sense of what it means to be a Christian in that “We walk by faith and not by sight”. In this journey we call life one never knows what today or tomorrow might bring. But with a childlike reassurance we place our trust in the one who loved us into existence and provides us with hope and life for all eternity. If I had one wish for you it is simply this- I wish you Jesus more than anything.

Don’t let our name fool you. We are far from saintly perfection. Rather our church is filled with ordinary people like you who live day by day and week by week trying to keep life together to the best of our abilities. We sin and stumble and fall short of God’s glory. But what differentiates us from the world or culture of our age is we have collectively come to understand that we are not stuck in our old ways. A new chance and renewed life is possible because of something called grace. It is the unmerited love of God that accepts us as we are in our brokenness and moves us in new directions restoring us into a right relationship with God. I wish you Jesus more than anything because in him you will find grace, mercy and peace.

On a personal note I’ve been in ministry for over 30 years.  All Saints is my 4th parish, but I’ve also served in specialized ministry in aging services as a chaplain and also as an executive director/nursing home administrator. My wife Renee, daughter Emily, son Luke and his wife Heather are all in the medical field serving others. In the summer you can often find me on Lake Winnebago fishing. It is no surprise to me why Jesus hung out with people who like to fish!
